Tina and Amanda

Tina Louise was an American actor, singer and writer, best well-known for her role as Ginger Grant from the TV show Gilligan's Island. Her stage experience began in the mid 1950s when she appeared in Two's Company, a Bettle-Davis musical. After that, she acted on Broadway in various performances until 1957 when Li'l Abner made it large in the National Theatre. In the year 1957, she released her debut music album entitled It's time for Tina. Louise began beginning her Hollywood career in 1958 where she portrayed Griselda Walden in God's Small Acre, a dramatic film. The film was a huge success and Louise received the Golden Globe Award for the New Star of the Years category. She joined the Actors Studio in New York and developed her association with Lee Strasberg as his student. Her contract was signed with CBS in 1964 to play Ginger Grant. Louise kept juggling her career in between Broadway as well as Hollywood acting in more dark roles, as opposed to the image of a glamour girl. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. She also appeared as Helen Magnus in Sanctuary although in the last few years she has also made her name as an accomplished director on several well-known television series including Supernatural in addition to The 100. The family she was born into moved from Essex to Toronto and she lived there for both her teenage and adult years. After being chosen for the role of Samantha Carter, she moved to Vancouver in 1997, and she has been there from then on.
